Matching Jammies

Jeff met up with Andie and Nana this morning, and the girls went off for breakfast at Chick-fil-A, where they stayed to play in the play place for about an hour. They also did some shopping at Walmart and Five Below, and then did the car wash and filled up the gas tank. They were busy little girls today!

Andersen and Emerson picked out matching Bluey jammies at Walmart, but Addison is still very much in her Elsa era, she she went with a beautiful Elsa gown instead of getting the same as the big girls.

Jeff and I went out to Nana’s house after work tonight, and when we got there, the cheesy chicken & rice casserole was almost done baking, and they were putting together a homemade classic Cuppa-Cuppa-Cuppa peach cobbler for dessert.

Nana was showing me the clothes they picked out at Walmart today, but Emerson wanted to try on this specific outfit. Turns out they grabbed the wrong size shirt though, and this was one as 4/5, when she needed a 6/7. So we’re just gonna give this one to Addie, and buy a bigger one for Emmie.

Nana and I watched the girls play outside with this bouncy ball for a while after dinner until the cobbler was done baking, until the ball accidentally broke wide open and was no longer usable.

I worked on my puzzle when we got home, while the girls watched one short episode of PB&J Otter before bedtime.

Emmie was having a hard time settling down and falling asleep though, so I let her go back out on the couch and put on a sleep-inducing lo-fi video on YouTube, and cuddle up with a cozy blanket, and Pennie, and a book, until she’s ready to actually close her eyes and fall asleep in her own bed.

It’s almost 10pm, and I see her still out there reading while I’m writing this. I’m gonna have to just force her to go to sleep soon!
