Lighter Mornings & Darker Evenings

We may not love time change, but we do love more light in the mornings before school!

Today was another one of our bi-monthly unit lunches. Today was Shanka’s turn to choose, and she picked Nagoya. It was a fun excursion, and obviously a  very delicious meal!

I ate about half of this overflowing plate of deliciousness (everything was saturate din butter and garlic, in an amazing way), and then packed up the other half to bring home. I’m even going to be generous and let Jeff eat the other half for his lunch tomorrow 🙂

Got a couple of cute pictures of Addie at school today.

Did anyone see the gigantic moon as it was rising, around 5:40-5:50? It was huge and so beautiful! I know tonight (or tomorrow?) is supposed to be the blood moon, so Emmie and I went out to look before bedtime around 8pm, but then it was just super bright white. But the sky was so pretty on our way home too!

Lighter mornings means darker evenings, so unfortunately we might not get to eat outside very much anymore. But since we’ve been eating outside so often the last few weeks, our normal dining room table was a mess, covered in art and supplies and plants, with that extra folding table set up with that computer… So we just barely made enough room at the table tonight for us to eat, and we’ll have to clean up more of it tonight or tomorrow.

Lots of fun in the bath tonight, even if this little weirdo kept trying to drink the bath water, and then making herself sputter and choke on it…

Then when I was trying to get her dressed, she rolled over, tucked herself in like this, and said, “night night.” Then she would pop up real fast, giggling and smiling so big, thinking she had just played the best trick ever!

Tucked in snug in the little pocket at Daddy’s side in the recliner, super sleepy and ready for bedtime.

While I took 2 seconds to snap this picture, Emerson started reading, “It was the…” and I was like, “HEY wait, look at you go!” And shew as laughing and so proud of herself (see second photo).

Jeff washed up a bunch of dishes earlier while I was taking care of the girls in the bathtub, so now I get to just sit down and rest and enjoy the rest of my night! And I’m definitely gonna munch on some more of that kettle corn from the farm last night…
