Ladies Craft Night

Addie had her 6-month eat tubes checkup this morning, so we “slept in” slightly today (like 6:30 instead of 6am). Then we were actually rushing around trying to get us all out the door, and we weren’t able to get a picture of both girls together…

But Jeff took Emerson to school like usual, and she did great and had a perfect drop-off like she normally does. Looks like the cool air had her feeling a little silly

And I took Addison to her checkup with the ENT, and she did great! They were so good about getting us in & out of there super quickly, and I was very thankful for that. Her tubes still look good, and the NP thinks they’ll last through the winter, and get her safely through the winter-flu-&-cold season, before possibly needing another set of tubes next spring.

And she had a good day at school with her teachers and friends.

Got myself a new afternoon coffee “treat” to have at my office, and it was actually really good. This $5 can of instant cappuccino is a great deal, and will provide lots of afternoon coffee’s to come.

After picking up both girls from school after work, we met up with Jeff at Taco Bell, and I scarfed down my quesadilla & fiesta potatoes super quickly. Then Jeff and the girls stayed to have some cinnamon twists & took a quick trip to Walmart….

(Luckily, they didn’t actually bring home this giant squishmallows, because we do not need any more giant stuffies in our house!)

And I went to church for a GC Ladies craft night. We got to choose one of three projects ahead of time when we registered/paid, and I chose the one that I thought I’d get the most “use” out of, since it wasn’t seasonal. They had prepped the board for us ahead of time, so we just did about half the project, and although I could have handled doing more of it myself, it was actually really nice to just do some minor crafting 🙂

The craft night class was put on by Southern Rust Woodworks, from Madison, FL, and they did a great job. She said most people do gray or black paint for the words, but I wanted to try a sage green color. Once I started it, I was loving it so much, and about 5 other ladies in the class saw it and loved it too, and and ended up copying me and using the same color.

You can’t quite see the pretty green-gray color in these photos, but it looks so good against the white, and with the colors in the wreath!

I ended up finishing my project and getting home earlier than I expected, so I got to see both girls before they went to sleep, and went through Emmie’s usual bedtime routine with her. And of course Addie fell asleep all warm & cuddled up with Daddy.

I think I’m going to get Jeff to go work on the puzzle with me for a little while (maybe he can get all my edges straightened out), and then head to bed early. I accidentally stayed up too late last night, and then still for some reason had a hard time falling asleep, so I was awake, tossing and turning, until about 1:15am. And then Addie woke up at 5am and wouldn’t let me leave her room (she cried every time I tried), so I ended up taking a 45-minute “nap” on the hardwood floor in her room with a pile of stuffies under my head, until I finally crawled out of her room. All that to say, I was quite exhausted today, and really need a good nights’ sleep tonight!
