These goofy little girls wouldn’t stop stomping during our sister pictures this morning, but just as cute as always!
We got to see Grammy at school this morning, because she came to bring some stuff to Meg and I. Addie was so happy to see her, and so happy to have Grammy take her to class.
And Emmie did well at drop-off, especially since it was her last day of school before the long Christmas break!
I ran errands on my lunchbreak to Goodwill, and really lucked out with some good finds.
Then I went by Uncle Maddio’s on my way back to the office to pick up an individual size supreme pizza, sub sausage instead of ground beef, + green olives. I’ve been craving their pizza for like 2 weeks, and I finally treated myself today, after a crazy hectic work-week, soup every day for lunch (in some form or other), and a pay-day-Friday. And good grief it was so stinking good. And their ranch is phenomenal! It for sure satisfied my craving, but I could eat another pizza again right now. I loved this funny little sign by the register too.
Addison met Santa at school today, and clearly that didn’t go so well. Poor little Chickpea! Emerson wasn’t a huge fan of him at this stage either though, so it’s not too surprising.
More treats left on my desk today, and this time, they even left extras for the girls!
I’m off work all next week to take care of Emerson while she’s out of school, so I had a lot to button up before leaving. I ended up staying an extra 15 minutes trying to finish it all up and get my out-of-office on. So then it was much later picking up both girls, and much later getting home. Then I was just exhausted. It’s been an absolutely insane week (or more) of work, and my brain was fried. I had zero mental or physical energy by the time we got home.
I instantly put on my new pink penguin jammies, and settled into the recliner for some rest, and let Jeff take care of dinner, by warming up the leftover chicken and rice from last night for him and the girls. (I didn’t eat, because I was still super full from my delicious pizza that I ate in it’s entirety.) Emmie also put on her coziest jammies, and we just had ourselves a sweet little cuddle pile.
Then it was Addie’s turn to come over to hang out with Mama, but she’s too wiggly and didn’t stay for very long.
After lots of lazing about and watching NPR Tiny Desk concerts of The Civil Wars (ugh, I was so obsessed with them, and still hate that they broke up after such a short run), and Taylor Swift, we finally got the girls to sleep, and it was super easy tonight, thankfully.
I eventually ate a ham & cheese sandwich for a late night dinner (that Jeff made for me since he was in charge of all dinner stuff tonight), and then wrote this late night blog as well, after working on my grocery order for tomorrow morning.
