Irish Jig

Look at this cheesy little scrunchy-face smile! I love this girl!

And BIg Sister has such a sweet little smile too!

Addie had a good day at school as usual…

I picked up Emerson from school first today, and Addison was so excited to see both of us pick her up, but mainly her sissy 🙂

Loved these clouds and the soft sunset on our drive home.

I made cheese tortellini with alfredo for Jeff and the girls, and I had this small package of pumpkin sage ravioli from Aldi. I mixed marinara & alfredo for my own sauce, and topped with more alfredo just to make it look prettier. Plus Caesar salad on the side. And the pumpkin ravioli was super yummy. Emmie and Addie both ended up trying it, and both really liked it too.

After dinner, I spent a long time washing up a ton of dirty dishes that had piled up, while Jeff and Emmie cleaned the living room and working on putting away lots of clean laundry. Then it was finally time to sit down and cool off (I was literally dripping sweat while washing dishes) and calm down to get the girls ready for bed. But first, they had to watch and dance along to a few episodes of “Bluey.”

If you’ve seen the “Fairies” episode of “Bluey,” you know there’s a little “Irish jig” type song they dance to a lot. The girls were going wild dancing along with it, and Emerson even made her own “fairy circle” like in the show. So I said to Jeff, “You know, I think that’s the song from ‘Titanic’ when they go down below decks to the party and dance in 3rd class.” And he was like, “Noooo it’s similar, but it’s definitely not the same.” So I said, “wanna bet?!” And of course I Googled it, and of course I was right! 🙂 I was like, “Come on babes, you know I know ‘Titanic,’ and especially the soundtrack!!” Back in the day, Meg and I were quite literally obsessed with listening to the soundtrack in the car with Mama growing up!

Anyways, Jeff rocked Addison to sleep, and I did Emerson’s bedtime routine, then we switched so we could each love on the other baby girl too.

And now that all the girls are asleep and all the dishes are washed and the kitchen is cleaned, it’s time for the parents to sit down and rest too!
