Girls Night at the Movies

First thing this morning, Jeff took the girls back to FAMU to get covid-tested one more time, in hopes of returning to school (and normal!) next week. They got breakfast out, so that left just me for breakfast at home, which was a good thing, since we only had one egg left…

Jeff also got another covid test today, and all three of them came back negative! So they ran a couple of errands, and then stopped by to see Nana at their house (since she’s teleworking), and looks like Emmie set up a little desk there too.

Then on Nana’s lunch break, Emerson helped her warm up some chicken noodle soup, and they ate there with her.

I went down to FAMU on my lunch break as well, and my test was also negative! So we’re finally all covid-free in our house! I came back home and made this crab salad, and ate it as lettuce wraps for my lunch. I’ve never made it before, but I was just kinda winging it, and it turned out good. I still like my favorite tuna salad best, but this was a nice change!

Jeff and the girls got back home a few minutes before my lunch break was over, so I was able to love on them, and help put Emmie down for her nap, before heading back to the front room to work the rest of the afternoon. All three of them ended up napping for about 2 hours, so the house was super dark and quiet during that time.

When I got off work at 5pm (after a super slow morning, but a more chaotic afternoon), I went to meet all the ladies in my family for dinner at Newk’s, followed by the movie “Redeeming Love” at AMC, which was an incredible movie. I never did read the book like I kinda planned to, but it was still a great movie.

Jeff had taken the girls to Dairy Queen for dinner and ice cream, and then back home for bedtime. He said they had a good night together, and was able to get them both to sleep, even with me 🙂

I didn’t even get home tonight until after 10pm, which is so unusual for me. By the time I got home, the whole house was asleep and quiet. I’m finishing up this blog post, and my current episode of Survivor, and then heading off to bed myself.
