Fish Po’Boy

I know a lot of y’all probably saw the same sky this morning – apparently it was beautiful all over Tallahassee! This first photo was take at the intersection of Ocala & Tharpe, on my way to daycare, and the second one was on Pullen/Callway Road, off N. Monroe. But my Mama sent me third photo, from way up north on Bannerman!

This sweet baby picked out the photo spot today, and was just in the best, happiest mood!

Look at that tiny belly peeking out! And the hands on the hips! Ah, too cute!

With all the craziness at work lately (I’ve talked about how busy we are and how we’re currently under-staffed), my boss brought me this yesterday, and I propped it up right in front of me, where it can remind me all day, how great I’m doing 😉

Today is actually my boss Tammy’s birthday, so we went out to lunch at Cabo’s to celebrate! I ordered the fried flounder po’boy, and it was sooo good. And so filling. I couldn’t eat all my fries, but I did eat every last bite of that sammich!

I picked up my little Tater Tot after work and school, and headed home. She was really, really wanting her Daddy, so we called him on our way home, so she could talk to him, before we saw him 15 minutes later. I made “Lacey’s Pizza,” for dinner tonight, and it was just as good as ever. I have to saute all the veggies in two separate pans, since Jeff doesn’t like mushrooms, and I like to cut them up too tiny to pick out. But two sets of toppings, and two separate pizzas, also means we both get to take pizza leftovers for work tomorrow.

Emmie didn’t want pizza though, so she had a hot dog Lunchable (Grammy had brought it for her on low-country-boil day last week, but she didn’t eat then since she ended up liking the shrimp & such), which she loved tonight.

And as usual, she needed to get out of her seat and sit in Daddy’s lap for a while, and then eventually came over to sit in Mommy’s lap for a while as well, scooting her plate around with all her moves.

She was very much a Daddy’s-girl tonight, and she wanted him to do bath time. So I just sat in the corner watching all the cuteness, and loving hearing my girl giggling with her Daddy.

She was starting to try climb up in her crib to get her unicorn out, but when I called her name and told her to get down, she just turned around and gave me this adorable little smile. Such a mischievous little monkey!

Bedtime went smooth tonight, and twice on the way out of the room, we said “I love you,” and “I love you too,” and goodness gracious I’m just so thankful for the sweetest girl in the world.

Now time for hot peach tea and the final episode of “The Mandalorian.”
