Fall Leaves & Fall Weather

Dressed a little warmer for another cooler fall day. I loved Emmie’s dress that was perfect with the fall leaves, and Addie was so cute in that little hoodie!

And this cute face is because she was looking up at Uncle Bo, smiling so sweetly.

Emmie’s new boots looked so cute with her little fall dress today.

Britteny came downtown today and we had a picnic lunch in Cascades Park, and it was such perfect afternoon fall weather and a great lunch date.

As always, Addie Pie fell asleep on the way home after school…

And then I made delicious grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner. I air fried some more of the Checkers fries, and we split a tiny (super yummy) can of tomato basil soup. It felt like a perfect Friday night fall dinner – warm and comforting and easy.

Jeff cleaned off the back table for us this afternoon so we could eat outside and enjoy this perfect fall weather.

I got that cute teal pumpkin at Marshall’s last weekend, because I wanted it for our dining room table, so it would match nicely with our blue rug under the table. (A typical orange pumpkin clashes too much 😉 ) And Jeff put it out there tonight, and I thought that was so cute.

While we were eating, Addie handed me one fry and seemed to want me to dip it in my soup for her, like she saw me doing with my sandwich. Then she wanted me to do it again and again, and eventually she dipped a piece of her sandwich too. So then I scooted my bowl over to her so she could try, and she really went to town on it. She kept eating so many fries, I was giving them to her off my plate, and eventually Emmie gave her some more too, and girlfriend just loved it so much!

After dinner, we hung out in the backyard for about 45 minutes, just running around and playing and letting the girls run while. Emmie wanted to take my phone for some selfies and photos and videos. She took about 15-20 of them (most of them not-so-great), but this one was so cute!

Even though it was like 77 degrees by 7:30 pm, Emmie’s hands and feet were getting cold, so we had to head inside to warm her up and get her ready for bed. She wanted to do our reading and devotions in my bed tonight, so we did that and then once we finished our prayers and lullabies too, she was ready for sleep.

Jeff did a great job rocking Addie Pie to sleep, and I scooped her up, loved her a bunch, and then laid her in her crib.

I will not be washing any dishes tonight; those can wait until tomorrow. Now, we’re going to watch the newest episode of “She-Hulk” on Disney+, and just have a nice, chill Friday night.
