Dinner Party Hosts

Its been a while since we’ve hosted anything at our house (since the tea party in February probably), and so I randomly decided I wanted to invite my parents & Grandmommie over for dinner tonight. I made this Pioneer Woman recipe for steak sandwiches, baked waffle fries & made a big salad in my giant bowl. And we used my new bowls I thrifted yesterday, and they were great! We also cut those beautiful hydrangeas from our backyard!

The food turned out great, but the company was even better! We told fun stories, and laughed a lot, and had a great time. I even convinced them to play a round of Bananagrams. They were reluctant at first, but ended up loving it! Grandmommie won, and even said we should play the game more often!

Grammy & Pepaw (my parents) even surprised Emerson with this new riding toy tonight! Her little tippie toes just barely reach the ground, but she loved sitting on it! Look at that happy snaggletooth baby!

I love cooking dinner and hosting friends and family at our cozy little house. We’ve got to start doing it more often! Looking forward to day 3 of this great weekend tomorrow!
