Chocolate Donuts

This morning it was just me and Addie again without Emmie, since she had to stay home one more day from that random fever Wednesday night. (She literally never had any other issues other than the one afternoon/evening of fever, so we have no idea what that was about…) But the school was eerily quiet with so many people out for spring break, but Addie still stole toys from her little friend.

My friend Heather treated us to Reynold’s donuts from Quincy this morning (seriously, the best I’ve ever had), and although they were extremely rich and sweet, I still finished both of these for today’s breakfast…

We only got a few pics of Addie today, but all of them were just her and her friends on their buggy ride. But in one of the pictures, we see she had a special visitor on her buggy ride – one of the triplets! (They probably all three came over at some point, but they just got one in the photo, that’s my guess at least, since they’re all obsessed with her…)

Jeff decided to take Emmie out for what she called “special lunch” for a biscuit at Bojangle’s, which was perfect, because that girl really loves biscuit sandwiches. And I really love that she took her “cousin bear” with her too lunch. (Aunt Meggie and Uncle Bo gave her this the Christmas before the triplets were born, and the bear’s t-shirt says “Big Cousin.”)

I came home to find they had built this little mini-fort in the living room today, and she had been playing in there for most of the afternoon.

And then, after packing up a bag for her, we sent her off with Nana for a sleepover tonight, that she worked out all by herself this past week 😉

Jeff and Addie had some fun playing…

While I put together a super simple dinner – curry chicken salad wraps (with green onions, cashews and celery), and these vegetable samosas from Trader Joe’s. And I had two mini cucumbers on the side, because I’ve discovered this week that I really like those a lot. Both things turned out spicier than I thought they’d be, but it was all very good.

We cleaned up the living room really quickly, and cleaned up all the dinner stuff, and lit my favorite candle.

Addison was already super tired, so Jeff got her in her jammies and sleep sack, and then I fed her a bottle. She was still hungry after she finished it though, so we made her another small bottle, and she finished that too. And then she was finally sleepy and ready to give up her sleep-fight. We got her down about an hour earlier than usual, because she was just so exhausted! We also started watching Tick Tick Boom tonight, which we’ve not see yet, and although we only made it about 15 minutes before I came to write this blog, we both really love it so much already.

Heading back to start the movie, now that I’ve finished writing this post. It’s pouring rain outside tonight, with tons of thunder and lightning, and I love sleeping in the rain, so I’m sure I’ll get a good nights’ rest… If only our one kid can sleep through the night with the rain just as well as I can!
