Jeff and I got to sleep in a little bit for once, but this little cutie was awake over at Nana’s house, eating scrambled eggs & leftover chick-fil-a nuggets for breakfast 🙂 But someone please tell me why my baby looks like she’s 3 years old in this first picture?!
First, we went over to pick up Addison from Nana’s house, and we found them out on a little walk down the street.
Then, we met up with Emerson, Grammy, Papa & Grandmommie for lunch at 4 Rivers BBQ. We had a good time together, and yummy food, and I got some birthday gifts!
After lunch, Addison needed a nap, but she didn’t want to lay down, so I got her to sleep on my shoulder, and then just held her in the recliner, while she slept for 2.5 hours. I napped during that time too, and I finally started slowly waking her up by like 4:45, since it was getting so late.
While Addie was napping, Jeff and Emmie did a few chores and went on a little bike ride, and did some laundry.
Once Addie finally woke up, we kinda lazed around a bit, and got another load of laundry started, and then decided to head out for a pseudo-early dinner at Momo’s. Addison was actually super hard to handle during dinner, so that wasn’t ideal, but the food was good and we made it through… And as usual, we had plenty of food to take home, since I didn’t finish my giant piece of pizza, and obviously the girls didn’t finish the piece they shared.
Emerson and I ran into Aldi together to do a super quick grocery shopping trip together, while Jeff and Addie just drove aimlessly around to keep her happy in the car…
Once we got home and got the groceries put away, the girls had a bath together and they splashed like wild. They both had some more pizza afterwards, while we watched “Bluey.” Then it was time for a book for Emmie, and some milk for Addie, and then they were both asleep pretty easily.
We’ve been trying to catch up on a bunch of laundry today, so we’ve got some folding to do tonight to go along with all that. Last night, we started the original 1986 “Top Gun,” and then finished it this morning. So now tonight, we’re gonna start the new 2022 “Top Gun: Maverick,” while we fold clothes.
