Blackberry Lemonade

Happy little cuties today, with Addie eating a Pringle, and pointing at the chirping birdies.

And look at how much fun Addison was having at school today! Just living it up out there on the playground with her friends.

Jeff did car pickup and gymnastics duty for Emerson today, and they got an ice cream treat afterwards for some special daddy/daughter time. Then the two of them picked up Addison from daycare.

And since I didn’t have any little girls to pick up after work, I got to head straight home. I spent about 20 minutes simultaneously scrolling TikTok, and placing a few puzzle pieces. I feel like I’ve done the “easy” parts now, and now the hardest parts remain.

I got our dinner ready (bbq pulled pork, mac & cheese, & black eyed peas), and Emerson put the table cloth on our back patio table, all by herself! She was so sweet, and I was so proud of her for doing that. The air quality was pretty bad tonight (although I didn’t actually notice myself), and was really bothering Jeff. Turns out, he was right, and I actually got a weather notification about it tonight, saying it was poor, unhealthy air quality in our part of town. So anyways, he stayed inside, while we had a little girls dinner on the back porch. Emerson ate every single thing on her plate, and Addison ate two helpings of mac & cheese, plus her peas, and only 1 bite of her sandwich.

While Addison ate her second helping of “cheese noodles” at the coffee table watching Kung Fu Panda, I let Emerson eat the last piece of chocolate cake straight out of the dish.

When Addison heard that I was taking a picture of Emerson, she was like, “Picture me, Mommy!”

FYI – we love buying these flavored water enhancer things to mix in to all our drinks. This is my absolute favorite flavor, in case you’d like to know. I actually do love drinking just plain ice water most of the time, but I’ve started really enjoying some actual flavor in my beverages lately.

Jeff got the bathtub ready while I cleaned up from diner a little bit. Then I got them in the bath together, and got them both cleaned up.  Then as usual, Jeff got Addison to sleep, while I did Emerson’s bedtime routine with her. Heading off to wash some dishes, and then probably try to work on the puzzle a little bit.

Oh and also, here’s our September 1 second every day video!
