Love pulling out these cute matching fall dresses year after year, and somehow, they still fit year after year!
We went out to lunch at Steak n Shake with friends after church, but I forgot to take photos because my fingers were covered in the garlic seasoning on top of the bun for the garlic burger, which was delicious.
Found this birds’ nest tucked into one of my little baskets in the carport. We actually found it a while back and left it alone, but we haven’t seen anything coming or going lately, and it was all dried up. So we finally moved it to check it out further, and then emptied it out.

Emerson and I changed clothes really quickly, and then I took her to a birthday party for a school friend at Urban Air. I stayed for a little bit to make sure she was safe and settled in, and then went to the opposite end of the plaza area. I had found a $25 gift to Marshall’s/TJ Maxx/Home Goods in the purse I switched to yesterday, so I shopped the clearance aisles and scrounged up some goodies for $27, so I only had to pay $2 of my own money. What a deal!

I went back over to the party for the last half hour or so, to chat with the other moms and got lucky when they offered me a piece of the delicious birthday cake as well. I missed getting a picture of Emmie and the birthday girl Sohpie, but she struck this sassy little pose for me with her goodie bag as we were walking out.

After the party, I was able to squeeze in a quick 25-ish minute power nap back at home, before heading back to church for dinner and Connect Groups. We had Swedish meatballs for dinner, which is my favorite of our group night dinners, and I was able to bring home some leftovers to save for lunch this week.
“Baby” Hayden is just growing up and looking so big lately, and with his little backpack just walking out to the van on his own.

The girls were a little wound up when we got home, so it took some time before getting them calmed down and ready for bed. In fact, after Addison fell asleep, Emerson snuck back to the kitchen with me because she was hungry. So we heated up some of the leftover Swedish meatballs and noodles for her to have a second dinner, and then I let her fall asleep to a lo-fi video playing on tv while she fell asleep on the couch. So now I gotta go move her, and then I’ll work on my puzzle and find a movie to watch on tv.
The girls are off school tomorrow for a teacher planning day, and I took off the day to hang with them, so we’re looking forward to a little girls day together, doing some errands and maybe thrifting and I’m sure a coffee shop at some point too.
