Emmie’s favorite little twin boys got to school at the same time we did this morning, and she was very excited to see them. She barely smiled for a few photos, and then she went running off to see them!
There are only like eight out of 50 people left in the office in my Bureau not teleworking, but our Boss still brought us spicy jalapeno boiled peanuts today. And since boiled peanuts are one of my very favorite snacks, I had one bowl in the morning, and one bowl in the afternoon. They were spicy, but delicious!
Look at Emmie’s little fountain on the top of her head. I love all the hairstyles her teachers do for her!
And look at my little girl! She’s just a tiny arteest at her giant easel!
Another Friday night with good weather seemed like a great night to grill out again. So Jeff grilled turkey burgers and hot dogs, and I heated up some baked beans, and we enjoyed another lovely outdoor dinner.
Jeff has been cutting little cross-hatch patterns into the hot dogs before grilling them, and he’s been very proud of that 😉 It does make them crisp up really nice though.
We stayed outside for a while, and then went inside to snuggle on the couch and watch a couple of videos before bedtime. She was being so stinking sweet and just wanted to cuddle up next to me super close, and I loved every second of it.
We got ready for bed and did books and she had some more Chex Mix (even after even an entire hot dog and some corn, and one baked bean), and we read the Easter story again. She was a little whiny when it came time for hugs and lullabies, and she had to have Daddy come back for one more hug, and then I had to go back for one more lullaby.
I had a huge pile of dishes from the last few days, so I got about 80% of them done tonight, and then I’ll finish up the rest of them tomorrow afternoon. But first, tomorrow morning, we’ve got a fun adventure planned in the great outdoors, at Jubilee Orchards!
