Addison’s 1st Fiesta!

These sweet girls were playing together so cute this morning, while I was making us some scrambled eggs for breakfast. We all ate together, then we ran around doing a bunch of quick errands – Walmart, Walgreens, coffee truck, Nana’s house, and maybe one more thing I forgot?

Then we went out to Grammy’s house at lunch time, ate some Publix fried chicken. Then Emerson napped with Grandmommie, and Addison napped with Daddy, while Mama, Papa and I all decorated their house for Addie’s 1st Fiesta!!!

And here’s our birthday girl, who just turned UNO a couple days ago, ready to celebrate her 1st Fiesta!! (Please also notice her new avocado moccasins I got her for her birthday!)

Since her birthday is on May 5th, Cinco de Mayo, obviously we had to have a taco-bar, fiesta themed 1st birthday party!! The whole family came over, and we had such a great night. Thank you to Grammy for helping me plan, Grammy & Papa for hosting, Nana for helping cook dinner, and everyone else for coming to celebrate with us! (And thank you to Tammy & Valerie for loaning us so many great decorations!)

When Emerson turned one, she barely even touched her tiny smash cake. Tonight, Addison played in the icing on hers a little bit, but she wouldn’t eat any of it! Aunt Meggie and Nana both tried to help her realize it was food, but we’re pretty sure she just thought it was finger paint, like she does at school! She did play in it quite a bit though, and still got herself nice and messy before we took it away 🙂

After the triplets left (we forgot to get their family photo with Addison before they left 🙁 ), we had a few minutes with just us three out in the bounce house together.

Then we made sure to get family photos of all the little families with Addison, like I did for Emerson’s first birthday as well.

We worked hard to get everything taken down and cleaned up, and then got the girls changed into their jammies. On the way home, both girls fell asleep (Emmie asked first, “Can I sleep in the car, Mommy?” I was like of course babes.) Then it was pretty easy to get both girls actually in bed once we got home, because they were both so exhausted from such a big day! It really was a great day, and such a great first birthday fiesta!

Oh also, today is actually Jeff’s birthday! Such a great husband and daddy, to spend his whole day devoted to his family, without one complaint of all the hard work, and nothing special for him. We’re planning to go out to celebrate his birthday next weekend actually, but I made sure to tell him happy birthday today as many times as I could, and thanked him for being such a good sport! So, wish him happy birthday too!
