Emerson specifically requested cinnamon rolls the other day, so of course I added them to our grocery order for yesterday, and she helped me make them for breakfast before church this morning!
We got ready and headed to church on a pretty day, and had a good morning at church, and a nice family lunch at Red Elephant afterwards.
Grandmommie suggested she could drink the cheese sauce with a straw, and then handed her one, so of course she had to give it a try!
Addison should have slept during church, but she decided to play the whole time instead. Then she took a 5-minute nap in the car on the way to lunch, but wouldn’t fall back asleep. Instead she ate french fries the whole time, and got sleepier and sleepier…
Jeff held Addison for her entire nap time this afternoon, and Emerson and I napped together in our bed. She’s the sweetest, most adorable little nap buddy, and I loved waking up from my own nap, to see this super cute little face.
We cut up some watermelon for our afternoon snack, and then had some time to just chill and play and hang out late this afternoon.
Jeff requested Asian food for dinner tonight, hibachi specifically, so we ordered take-out from the same place we tried last Sunday night, Mizu. Jeff ate the chicken hibachi, and I ate the sushi (we each shared one bite/piece with each other), and Emerson made meal mostly out of crab rangoon, gyoza and rice. The sushi is actually BOGO rolls, and I thought it was totally worth what we paid for it. Super yummy, and reasonably priced. We actually didn’t’ even finish all of this, so Jeff is going to eat the rest of it for his lunch tomorrow.
We had a little bit more time to just hang out after dinner – Jeff was in charge of Addison, Emerson played on her Kindle, and I washed up a sink full of tupperware & mugs & cups & baby bottles. We did an easy bedtime with Emerson, and Addison was half asleep before she started her bottle, and completely out before she even finished it.
I’m in desperate need of an at-home pedicure, so I’m going to take care of that tonight while we watch some tv, and rest a little bit before we start another week tomorrow.
