Golden Girls

Purposefully dressed both my girls in matching yellow and black outfits today. No real reason, but I had already picked out Addison’s outfit, and decided to choose something similar for Emerson. Turns out, it was almost an exact color match, and I had a little pair of Golden Girls on my hands today!

Absolutely delicious, fresh and filling lunch today – leftover tuna from Saturday, watermelon & Caesar salad. Very yummy.

Only got these two photos of the girls from school – just one of each of them.

Jeff had some dental work done today, and his mouth was still too sore to eat anything for dinner. So I just made Emmie a PB&J with watermelon & cheetos on the side, and did my own thing for my dinner. I’ve had this shakshuka starter from Trader Joe’s in the freezer for a few weeks and been waiting to try it out. I knew it wasn’t something Jeff would like or want (he’s not a fan of tomatoes) but I thought it was good! I accidentally overcooked the eggs, so the yolks weren’t runny anymore, so I’d have to do better next time… But I also added feta on top, and that was good.

But this avocado toast I made to go with it was perfection. I added some extra things that I’ve seen other people do online, like honey, parmesan, & Sriracha, in addition to the avocado & everything seasoning. And this was the best avo toast I’ve ever had.

Yesterday, Grandmommie gave Emerson a dollar to go into the Dollar Tree after lunch, and this crazy Mardi Gras headband is what this goofball chose

We did bedtime stories with both girls together tonight, although Addison definitely wasn’t interested in the book, and just wanted to explore all around Emerson’s bed. Jeff came and scooped her up so we could finish Emmie’s bedtime though, and Emmie was so sweet and precious. We also video-called Grammy and Papa, and got to have a little chat with them before bedtime too.

I have a very few dishes to wash, so I’m going to do that tonight before things get out of control again, and then take care of the baby bottles as well.
