Pony Rides & Stampedes

We’ve had a great day today! It started off with breakfast at the cabin, and then a trip to the Deer Farm & Exotic petting zoo with pony rides!

We saw about 15 different kinds of animals, and got to feed and let them all. Let’s see how many I can remember: rabbits, pygmy deer, pigs, zebras, donkeys, llamas, camels, highland cows, elk, emu, ostrich, reindeer, Shetland ponies, and goats.

And then all the little girls also got to go for a little only ride. Each girl had to be walked by a parent, and I got Addie and Honey. On the ride, she kept saying, “Honey’s so cute, she’s so bootiful. I’m so brave and I AM NOT SCARED!”

We did lunch back at the cabin again, and then naps/rest time, and some hot tub time for the girls. Then we all got dressed and ready (and Meg braided hair for all 5 girls!) to head out to an exciting dinner show at The Dixie Stampede! A few of us had been before, but we also had a few first-timers, but all of us truly had a great time!

The sky was beautiful as we pulled back into our cabin for the night, and then we immediately got started on the kids’ bedtime, since it was about 8:30 by that point.

After the kids were all asleep, the adults all spent about 30 minutes working on the puzzle and sketching out some itinerary plans for the next few days.

We’re making great progress on the puzzle, and will definitely finish in the next day or so. Which is good, because Grammy not only brought the specific Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg themed puzzle, but she also brought the Mod-Podge to glue it and save it forever as a memory of our trip!
