10-Minute Thai

Sweet little nugget slept until we woke her up at 8am! But of course she couldn’t do that on a Saturday… She did it on a Sunday, when I had already been up since 7:15 anyways. But at least she’s cute! Also, she loves brushing her teeth with her new Cinderella toothbrush.

She had lots of calls to make on her cell phone on the way to church…

After church, she was running around so cute and adorable, wearing her backpack and just being so crazy and energetic.

We went to lunch with our friends Ashlee & Louis, and Emerson spent more time sitting by them, than she did her own parents!

We got her ready for nap time as soon as we got home, and this little nugget was exhausted. She was sound asleep, super quiet and very still, laying on my chest by the second lullaby.

I attempted to nap again this afternoon, but was rudely awakened by a car sitting at the intersection right outside my front door, blaring rap music so loudly it was vibrating the window of our carport door. He must have been stopping to pull up directions or something, because he sat there for a solid two minutes. After that, I couldn’t fall back asleep, so I just had a snack and watched Netflix.

Jeff and Emerson both ended up sleeping for about two hours, and I was glad they at least got some good rest! After Emmie woke up, we just played together, and watched multiple versions of “Jesus Loves Me” videos on YouTube, plus some other cute kids videos.

One of the videos we watched had baby chicks, so she wanted to go get her giant chick to play with.

After rolling around on it for a while, she started standing on top of it, counting to 20, and then jumping off! She did it about five times, and then she made Chewie and all her little animals jump off too. It was so funny.

Yesterday, we saw a picture of one of her school friends wearing his socks on his hands, so she decided she needed to try it out for herself today.

I asked if I’d she wanted to read some books, and she got sooo excited and yelled YEAHH! Then she ran over and brought me two books, then ran over and got a few more, then a few more, until we had quite a pile! And then she was just the sweetest nugget cuddled up Mommy, reading great books like “Madeline”

Then I made THE EASIEST dinner, maybe ever. When I made my plan to go shopping for party food at Trader Joe’s last week, I made my menu for this week based on all Trader Joe’s meal ideas too. I found a few of those websites that share how to do easy 10-minute TJ’s meal hacks, and I chose a few to try this week. Tonight we did super easy Thai curry chicken, with just four ingredients. Oh, plus just a tiny bit of sauteed onion and red bell pepper that I had left over from yesterday’s frittata. And it was soooo good!

(Emerson had the other half of her cheeseburger from lunch today, and a little bit of brown rice.)

Emerson once again picked out our record for the night, and I think she did a great job.

She wanted to read some more books after dinner, so we sat on the couch reading one after the other, until it was finally time to get ready for bed.

She was sweet and precious at bedtime, and things went pretty smoothly. I started a new audio book while I washed she dishes, cleaned the kitchen, and straightened up the living room. Jeff’s been working on laundry on & off throughout the afternoon & evening.

After getting my few chores finished up, I used my new DIY coffee scrub on my hands and my face, and now everything feels so smooth! And it smelled so good!

Jeff and I are now going to watch a rom-com on Netflix (To All The Boys I’ve Love Before, Part 2), since we didn’t have time on Valentine’s night. Excited for a cute movie, cuddled up with my hubby!
