Yogurt Parfait

Only the big sister got dressed and went to school today, since baby sister had a fever and wasn’t feeling good. But Emmie was up and ready, and looking so cute and cozy and warm!

I’ve been obsessed with my little homemade yogurt parfait’s for breakfast lately. It’s obviously super easy, very delicious, and filling. Keeps me full alllll through the morning until lunch, way more than some other breakfast options.

Some coworkers have been setting up a little hot cocoa and apple cider table every day, with toppings and treats to go with it. So sweet! So today I made some peppermint hot cocoa in my Gilmore Girls mug, and grabbed some of their homemade treats, and this was such a yummy afternoon snack.

Made a random, throw-together meal tonight, using some things I had on hand… and it turned out alright, but nothing spectacular. Jeff and I liked it well enough, Emmie tried a couple bites but didn’t like it, and Addie wouldn’t even taste it. Oh well, you win some you lose some, that’s what I always say 🤣

Everyone was overly tired and sensitive and emotional tonight, and three of the four of us aren’t well, and so we were all kinda struggling after dinner. I did manage to wash some dishes though, and Jeff got the trash & recycling taken outside, and we also managed to take care of the girls’ and their meltdowns too. Emmie and I read a chapter of The Boxcar Children, Addie came back to give us extra loves, and then Emmie was sound asleep.

I finished watching “Blitz” on AppleTV over the past couple of nights, and it was so good. Very intense and dramatic, but also very good. If you like WWII stuff, you should definitely check it out. But for something completely opposite now, I’m having a little palette cleanser, watching a cheesy Hallmark Christmas movie 🙂
