These little sweeties are just both so pretty, and I just love them so much!
After work and camp today, I picked up the girls and we had to make a pit stop at Aldi for a couple of dinner items. I thought I had added mashed potatoes and peas to my grocery order last weekend, but apparently I forgot. So we went by Aldi to grab those things, and maybe a few other small snacks and treats.

And then we had exactly what we needed to have IKEA at home! When we went a couple of weeks ago on our way back home from Daytona Beach, we had a giant ice chest in the back of the van, so we were able to bring home two bags of their frozen meatballs. Plus four packs of the gravy mix, and a jar of the lingonberry jelly. I modified the cooking instructions to make it a crock-pot recipe (based on how I’ve done some things in the past for similar recipes), and it turned out absolutely perfect. The girls were both obsessed with our lunch that day at IKEA, and they loved it again tonight too!

I realize this is not low-carb, but I did really well with low-carb breakfast and lunch today, and this was definitely worth the splurge. Jeff was outside doing yard work again tonight while the girls and I had dinner. Addie went outside and hung out in the carport for a little bit while he tidied things up, and Emmie and I watched tv together.
She actually chose to check out Jeopardy for the first time. She really liked it, and I loved watching it with her! There was a time in my life (back in the days I lived at home, and then in the beginning of our marriage when we still had cable), I watched Jeopardy almost every single night and kept score of how many answers I got either by myself, or as a group when I watched with my family. {In fact, I was very into doodling in my sketch book at the time, so I would make cute monthly calendars just to tally our right answers each night. Wow, such a dorky thing to admit…} So it was fun to watch it with Emerson, and for her to be really into it.
We had a late bedtime after the yard work and such, but the girls fell asleep quickly. We did some laundry tonight, and I need to do some dishes now too, and then I’m just in the mood for mindless tv or mindless scrolling, just so I can turn my brain off for the rest of the night…
