Water Wednesday

We had a good nights’ sleep last night, and woke up feeling happy and refreshed this morning. We missed our triplets today (they were on their way to Disney for their big 3rd birthday celebration!), but we still had a good drop-off, and I was loving Emmie’s new dress.

My leftovers from last night were delicious today, even after I dropped my phone in the taco on the far left trying to take this photo 😉

The girls had a good day at school, the baby colored with yellow and ate muffins for the first time, and the big girl made a germ monster with her friends.

And as usual, this sweet little baby fell asleep in the car ride home, and she just looked so precious when I opened the door to get her out at home.

Emerson reminded me on the way home that we hadn’t watered the house plants recently, and asked when are we supposed to do that? I told her it was a coincidence that she asked that, because I try to always do Water Wednesday, and today was indeed Wednesday. So she helped me get the watering can filled, and then water all of our plants.

Then we had a slightly random dinner tonight – hot dogs with mac & cheese, and fresh air-fryer-roasted yellow squash, with some more cheese on top. I wish I had also added some red bell pepper & red onion and roasted it all together, but I’ll have to do it that way next time. (And yes, I put all the condiments on my hot dogs. The funny thing is, when I was a child, I didn’t actually like the hot dog itself, and I would eat just the buns loaded up with all the toppings.)

Even Addie-girl joined in our dinner, and had really what I would consider her first big-girl dinner, because she ate the same things we did, and no baby food at all! I cut up just one slice of hot dog into teeny tiny pieces, and gave her plenty of cheesy shells, and she ate so well!

She loved her dinner so much, she was even digging out the lost bits from the pocket of her bib!

We had some time to chill and play and hang out after dinner, before it was the girls’ bedtime.

While we were playing and hanging out, Jeff showed me this video he found on YouTube, and it was such beautiful vocals it literally made me tear up. I’d definitely give it a listen, if you love beautiful female, accapella voices!

Emmie had a rough bedtime last night, but did a little better tonight. Addie on the other hand was super easy again, and passed out as soon as she finished her bottle.

I’m heading to do a quick clean in the kitchen, then grab a snack, and probably paint my nails tonight too, before heading off to bed.
