This little cutie picked out her own romper today, and then the flip-flops to go with it. So adorable!
And she was so very excited to see her baby girls this morning too!
I got to eat my delicious penne pasta with beef meat sauce for lunch today, and even though It was a little more than I needed, I still ate every bit of it because it was just so delicious! And I also finished another Inspector Ganache book today too. Now I’m all caught up except for The very most recent book in the series, that just came out in September. But of course the hold lines at the library for those are super long, and it’s going to take months until it’s my turn! (By any chance do any of you find friends own the newest book, “All the Devil’s Are Here,” and want to let me borrow it?!)
Looks like my Tater Tot had a good day at school, took a good nap, ate all of her food, and was her usual silly little self!
On the way home from school and work, Emerson requested an uncrustable PB&J for dinner tonight, and she wanted Daddy to make it for her, and she wanted to help him. I stood nearby and watched, and it just looked so delicious, that I decided that’s what I wanted to, so Jeff made me one.
And he’s actually quite obsessed with PB&J himself, so he decided to make one for him while he was at it, but he got fancy and toasted his bread and made it a double-decker! Super easy dinner for all three of us, yummy, and the only clean up is one knife!
It was so good, I made him make me a second one!
We “cheers-ed” our sammies together, and just ate up at the kitchen counter, and we both drank a cup of milk
She had the tiniest milk mustache, and she wanted me to take a picture of it so she could see, but it was just barely showing up in the photos. But of course they’re great pictures of her, and she looks absolutely adorable!
When we went camping a few weeks back, we had taken a thing of Jiffy Pop with us, but never made it. We decided to do it tonight for a post-PB&J snack, but it didn’t go so well…
It got super smoky and burnt, but didn’t pop hardly any of the kernels. And Jeff ended up having to take it out into the carport because it was so smokey, and we didn’t want to set off the smoke alarm. Emerson was very sad that we wouldn’t get to eat the Jiffy Pop though, so of course we had to make up a second batch of popcorn. We used my silicone microwave popper and some plain kernels, then added some melted butter on top. And this is actually my absolute favorite way to make popcorn anyways, so I was happy with this second batch of popcorn!
We snuggled on the couch eating our popcorn and watching Peppa pig, before it was Emerson’s bedtime. We took her back to get her night count on, and she threw this blanket over her head and started running around saying, “I’m Queen Emerson!”
I’m sure you won’t be surprised to learn that she wasn’t tired and didn’t want to go to sleep, but she did pretty good at bedtime, and didn’t really put up too much of a fight. We had a super chill night together, and I rather enjoyed not cooking and letting Jeff just put together some PB&J’s for all three of us. I think we might have to do that more often 😉
