Twinkle-Lit Dinner

Just one picture of my precious girlies on a Monday morning…

All the normal school/work things from approximately 7:30am – 5:30pm, and then we were all back together again this evening.

Long story short – we actually had to abandon Jeff’s car out at my parents’ house on Halloween night. He drove out there to work on it some Saturday, but since I didn’t go with him (I stayed home while Addie napped), he couldn’t drive it back home. So we needed to go back out there tonight to get it back home. So we decided to have dinner out there too. I looked up kids eat free places, and we chose to try out Smitty’s for the first time. The girls LOVED the twinkly lights and it really was a perfect night to eat outside.

I got the pork schnitzel sandwich and it was huge! I cut off all he excess parts hanging off and gave those to Jeff, and was still more than stuffed after not even eating all the fries.

I wanted a sister pic under the twinkly lights, but Addie wanted to take their pictures separately, but they were both adorable! And the dinner was great, and surprisingly well-priced (only $28 before tip, for all 4 of us!), and lots of food. Don’t know how often we’d make it back up there, especially for kids eat free on Mondays, but there are definitely other things I wanna try on their menu, starting with their soft pretzel appetizer.

Jeff had to replace one more part when we got out to my parents’ house, which he died by the lights of my own car. (My parent’s weren’t actually home, so the girls just had fun playing around in the driveway for about 20 minutes.)

I had to make a quick stop at Publix, so Jeff took the girls straight home to get started on bedtime, but we did all successfully make it home. Oh, I also picked up this Taylor Swift record that I bought off Facebook Marketplace for only $20. What a score! I just so happened to have been scrolling Marketplace last night (as I often do – you never know what you might find), and saw this, which I didn’t already have, and which would have cost like $40-50 brand new from her website + shipping, so this really was a great deal.

So now that it’s almost 10pm, I still have to go brown up some ground sausage, for a soup luncheon we’re doing at work tomorrow. I’m making stuffed pepper soup, so I’m going to brown the meat and dice the veggies tonight, so that tomorrow things will be mostly prepped and ready to go.
