Started out our day with Trader Joe’s croissants for a yummy breakfast.
Then we actually did some cleaning and had a little play time and picked up our groceries and dropped off a goodwill donation. But I apparently didn’t take any pictures for a couple of hours during all that. Because then we were at lunch time already.
And then it was naptime for Addison, and I did a little more cleaning, and then sat down for an afternoon cup of coffee and some time spent scrolling on my phone.
Then we had a super fun afternoon at the Tallahassee Museum for a little school friends’ birthday party. They had snacks and drinks cake and playground time, and then the highlight was of course the little kids’ rope course, which they call “treemendous adventure!”
The kindergarten teacher even came to the party today!
I was worried Emmie would be too scared, but once she got going, she was really flying up there, having the best time! The were supposed to get to go through the course multiple times, but there were too many people on the ropes throughout the afternoon, so their time got cut short, and they only got to go through once. Emmie kept wishing she could have gone again, and I was just so proud of her for doing it, and loving it at that!
This little girl is Emmie’s newest bestie. She comes home talking about her most days, and proclaiming to me that she’s her best friend. I got to spend most of the party talking to her mom today, so that was nice, and I really liked her too. (Emmie said she didn’t even know this little boy at the party, but he came up when he saw us taking pictures.)
Pretty proud of this cute little TikTok video I made of her fun ropes course “treeventure!”
We met up with Grammy, Papa & Grandmommie for dinner at Sonny’s after the party, but my phone was either playing videos for Addie, or my hands were covered in bbq sauce (this plate was way too much food), so I didn’t take many pics at dinner. It was a quick meal with them, but we were glad to get to be with them for at least a little while tonight!
We got two sweaty, stinky, sticky girls in the bath as soon as we got back home, and then went through the bedtime routine for both of them. They were both exhausted after a big day, so it was pretty easy to get them settled down and ready for sleep.
I’m also exhausted after such a busy day, spent mostly up on my feet either washing dishes / cleaning the house & walking all over the park at the party, so I’m more than ready to just sit down and rest tonight!
