Trader Joes Vibes

Love these little huggy-sisters, always hugging each other and being so sweet.

Today was a kind of a random day… I took the day off work to help chauffeur my mother-in-law to and from her eye surgery since my father-in-law was out of town. But that wasn’t until the afternoon, so I had the morning to myself. I strolled the aisles of Trader Joes with an iced coffee, spending too much money just buying random stuff based on vibes 🤣

Then I had some time at home, so instead of just sitting on the couch and watching tv, I decided to be a little productive. So first of all, I cleaned up the top of the record player and put on a record to listen to while I worked. Then I cleaned up this corner of the dining room that was just messy and cluttered. Puzzles were all over the place, there were three rolls of Christmas wrapping paper (that I picked up before the photos), a whole pile of clean clothes shoved there a thousand years ago, and a bucket of games from vacay to be unpacked. I made it through the whole album (which is both sides of two vinyls), and made great progress!

Before…

During…

After! Much better! Now we just need to finally remember to change the bulb in that lamp, since it’s almost dead.

I finished my little project just in time to go over to Nana’s house, where Jeff met us there too. We drove her to the surgery center, and then he actually worked on his laptop, but I just got an hour of reading time while we waited. She was having cataract and glaucoma surgery on her right eye today, and she has to go back in two weeks for her left eye. It went well today though, and the post-surgery pressure check was good too.

She couldn’t eat before the surgery, and Jeff and I also skipped lunch in solidarity with her. So afterwards, we went through the Chick-fil-A drive through for a 3:30pm lunch. We got her settled at her house and hung out there with her a little bit, before it was time to go pick up the girls.

We then had our usual mid-week activities at church, and then came home and started on the bedtime routine. Even Pennie got involved in our storybook time tonight!

With such a late lunch today, I skipped dinner tonight, but now I’m hungry and ready for a bedtime snack, and probably some YouTube videos with hubby.
