What a beautiful baby girl, in her pretty butterfly dress! We couldn’t find her nice little gold sandals, so we went with the bright coral flamingo flip-flops, but she liked them, so it works!
It was only like 60 degrees this morning, so of course I had to have the windows open while eating my apple cinnamon oatmeal and drinking my hazelnut coffee. If I gotta be working, at least it’s like this!
Is there anything better than a simple tomato sandwich in the summertime? All you need is mayo and S&P, and it’s sooo good! But it’s not super filling, so I also had our last leftover Bleu cheese chicken burger too 🙂
Oh I made this new letter board quote I made while watching tv last night, and I think it’s pretty funny, if I do say so myself. (I mean, I didn’t actually come up with it, I was just “clever” enough to change “germs” to “coronavirus” for a more 2020-specific reference.)
Look at these tiny artists, wearing their aprons and all painting together! So precious!
I can tell her arms are super wet in this photo, and I assume she had just washed her hands, because lately she’s started washing all the way up to her elbows, like a goofball! Wait, edited because I meant up to her shoulders!!
For dinner tonight, I used some of the squash & zucchini & vidalia onion from my farm-fresh produce box, to make a delicious sausage & veggie pasta. I normally make this meal with frozen veggies, but it was super good with fresh ones. I also added Alfredo sauce tonight for the first time, which made it so creamy and cheesy, and really good!
Emerson used a big-girl bowl tonight, and did a really good job with it. And she ate everything in her bowl, including one piece each of squash & zucchini!
Jeff and Emerson both asked for ice cream tonight, so we ran to the DQ drive-thru after dinner. Emmie was sad we couldn’t eat at the restaurant, so we cheered her up by eating it in the tent instead, which she loved! We hung out in there for a few minutes after we finished the ice cream, and then got ready for bed.
While Jeff took her to the potty and got her in the jammies, I got all the leftovers finally put away. We’ve got three more meals out of this, plus one tiny Emmie-sized bowl.
She was in the middle of telling me some crazy story about some animal that was running in the dirt, and then she hid in the dirt and I have no idea what she was really talking about, haha! 🙂
She’s been whining in her room while I’ve been writing this post, so I’ve gotta go back in there and probably do one more lullaby, and hopefully that will satisfy her and she’ll go to sleep after that! And then I’ve got tons of dishes to wash. Lemme tell ya, it’s hard to keep up with all the dishes, when you don’t have an actual dishwasher, other than your own two hands!
