As usual, Little Nugget was so super excited for water day. It was actually the last one of the summer, and she just couldn’t understand WHY? But look at this hair! I convinced her that putting her hair up was a good idea for water day, and she let me do these space buns, which I just absolutely adore! They’re just the tiniest space buns ever!
And it looks like she had a great day at water day, as usual!
I used part of my lunch break to wash dishes and clean up the kitchen from last night. So while I put away the clean dishes from the night before, I turned on the water to get hot, and went about my business… Well by the time I finally turned around to look, the sink was literally FULL of water and about 1cm from completely overflowing.
Come to find out, there was a one of those plastic Pampered Chef super thin cutting boards on the bottom, that was completely covering the drain and acting like a plug. So although it was full of dishes, it was also completely full of water. I called Jeff to see, and I was just dying laughing.
After work/school today, Grammy, Papa & Grandmommie picked up Emerson from school. I had ordered Chinese food for all of us, so I went to pick it up, and we all met back up at our house. We had a delicious meal, and had so much fun playing together afterwards. It was so nice to spend some time with our family, and I’m so glad they could come over to be with us!
Singing “bringing home a baby bumble bee…”
Taking everyone’s temperatures…
Being a pirate…
Doing some puzzles…
Doing some stickers…
Both men snoring away…
And she chose Grammy to read her bedtime book and say her prayers and do her bedtime routine.
She still needed Mommy to come in and give her more loves, but of course I didn’t mind a few more minutes of cuddles together.
After I got Emmie back down, and the family left, I made up a couple batches of homemade artisan bread. It’ll sit and rise and rest until late afternoon tomorrow when I bake both loaves. We are taking dinner to some church friends again tomorrow, so one loaf is for them, and one loaf is for us.
Chinese take-out for dinner means no dishes to wash tonight, so it’s time to settle in and relax for the night. Jeff might have already fallen asleep again on the couch, so it looks like I might have the rest of the night to myself!
