Despite crazy hair and cheesy fingers, these are still the cutest girls I’ve ever seen! 😉
Today was a bitter-sweet day at the office, as we threw a retirement party for our beloved Bureau Chief Michelle. Although she’s not officially retiring until the end of the year, this is her last week in the office. She’s worked at DOC since she was about 18 years old, and has 39 years of service at Corrections under her belt! When I first started in this Bureau, I sat at her desk side-by-side in training for about three months, and she taught me so much! She’s continued teaching me and training me through the years, and encouraged my promotions through the years. I look up to her professionally, but also love her as a person as well! She will be very missed by all of us!

Tonight was our usual gymnastics night, but Addison just had to come by to wave at her sister real quick. And I got started on a new book for a little bit, but honestly there was SO much going on in there tonight, and I had a bunch of text convo’s going on, so I didn’t get much reading done…

For as simple as dinner was tonight, it was super yummy. We had the pulled pork I made in the crockpot on Sunday night, and the baked potatoes I pre-made last night, and then added a can of lima beans. Emerson was raving about how good it was, and Addison ate really well tonight too. We also started watching Star Wars Episode I, The Phantom Menace, and the girls are both surprisingly very into it! And Jeff is just thrilled we’re raising such nerdy little girls 😉

Of course we did a couple quick episodes of Bluey to wind down, and then got started on our typical bedtime routine. Addie loves this old book that used to be mine from when I was a child.

Tonight is a night to turn my brain off now and just watch some tv, instead of reading or anything else…
