On the way to school today, Emerson realized that she wanted her tiny bunny, but that it wasn’t in the car with us, because she left it sitting at home on the coffee table. She started to have a mini freak out, so I assured her Daddy would take care if the tiny bunny. But she didn’t want that. Instead, she just wanted him to put the tiny bunny in the bed with her bigger bunny, Anna. So we called him to ask, and he said he would send us a picture for her to see once we got to school. And that did the trick to calm her down, and she was pleased as punch to see the photo once we got to school!
Right before we walked in the front doors this morning, a little kid had “gotten sick” on the carpet right in front of the muffins, so we just kept on walking and skipped the muffins today. (I told her we couldn’t get one, since a friend had been sick there.) And then in her classroom, Emerson went to the little kitchen to start making some tea, when she suddenly looked up and said, “hey wait, where’s my muffin?!” (Second photo below is her “hey wait” face…)
With perfect timing, I finished up this audio book in the parking garage at work this morning. Four stars.
I really enjoyed eating leftover frittata again today for lunch, with grapes & bread again, and the rest of my coffee I hadn’t yet finished, warmed up. I also finished my Kindle book, and then read some more of this library book. (I’m just barely over 10% of this book, but ti’s starting off slow…. I like to give myself till 25% before I abandon a book though, so I’ll read a little more, in hopes it starts to pick up.)
Looks like Emerson had a good day at school, and even slept for just over two hours!
We did Taco Tuesday tonight, but took the easy way out with frozen mini chicken tacos from Trader Joe’s. We love these tiny things with the corn tortillas, and so does Emerson!
Our girl was looking (and maybe smelling) a bit like a ragamuffin, so it was a good thing it was bath night! She had lots of fun playing and splashing around tonight, and I just sat there laughing at her being so cute and silly with her little toys.
She wanted to wear her panties again for a little while after bath time, so I let her put them on and we watched a few videos on the couch. We were only sitting there for 10 or 15 minutes, but I must have asked her if she needed to potty, like, 10 times. Then we put on a diaper, and her PJ bottoms, and she needed to check out this teeny little Bible and hold her puppy dog.
Then it was time for our pre-bedtime routine, and she wanted to put down her “banklet” for a “tea party,” and she was SO particular about it.
She was trying to stall a little longer and stay awake, so she had a fit over something, but once we got her calmed down, she was sweet and giving out hugs and kisses. We did lullabies, and then she was ready to lay down.
I got all the dishes washed & the kitchen cleaned, and just made us each a cup of tea. And y’all know it’s now time for Netflix before bed.
