Sunflower Sisters

Love these new matching dresses from Grammy the girls were wearing today. They also both picked their own shoes today, and they both chose tennis shoes, and they both wanted to show them off together. Such sweet little sunflower sisters!

Good day at school for my silly little Addie Pie.

Made a quick sesame chicken and jasmine rice with broccoli for dinner, with some Trader Joe’s garlic naan. Everything was good, but that garlic naan was so super yummy.

Addie didn’t feel like eating at the table (and she didn’t feel like leaving her dress on either), but once we sat down in the living room floor, she finally ate her entire bowl.

We all snuggled and played and rolled around the living room floor for a while after eating. We also looked at the handouts Emerson brought home about the SSYRA Jr. (Sunshine State Young Readers Award), and placed a bunch of books on hold at the library, so that she can get this award after reading at least 5 of the 15 books over the next few months. Then we got both girls ready for bedtime, and Daddy held Addison, and Emerson read me a book she got from the school library today.

She did great reading to me, and only had to ask me for help with a few words (like “pretending” and “dreamed”), but she did so good, and I was really impressed with her reading abilities. Then afterwards, completely unprompted, she was like, “I like that story and that book, because it’s about sharing and honesty.” And she hit the nail on the head! She really is such a smart little girl 🙂
