Street Corn

Well, I’m mad at this blog post tonight, because this first picture uploads blurry every single time, and I can’t get it fixed and just UGH. Anyways, they were still both so super cute for church this morning, Addie in a new dress from Grammy, and new Crocs jellies from me (which I found brand new on Facebook marketplace for a steal!).  And Emmie chose to wear a dress with flowers too so that they would both have flowers.

For lunch, we tried a new-ish Mexican place up by the Lake Jackson library that we always visit. And it was delicious. It was a little pricier, the way their menu is set up, but neither Jeff nor I could finish our gigantic burrito/chimichanga, respectively. But that street corn was so flavorful and delicious. Emerson ate her whole kids meal though, and loved it. Next time, Jeff and I can share a main entree, which will save money and not waste food. (We did at least bring our leftovers home.)

Yesterday was full of busyness and fun, and today was thankfully time to take it easy and chill out. Addison and I napped together for like 2.5 hours this afternoon. Emmie just hung out, and Jeff was doing some computer work. He ran an errand for some computer work, then Emmie and I ran to Walmart to do some returns, and buy coffee creamer. Then we had pizza and butter noodles for dinner, and watched Bluey while we ate. We just spent a while cuddled up on the couch, and eventually got the girls ready for bed.

I washed dishes earlier while the pizza was baking, and Jeff has been working on laundry throughout the day as well, so we have at least been a little productive on our rest day. But I think I’m done with all that though, and I’m just gonna paint my fingernails and chill some more the rest of the night.
