We had to get a little bit more bundled up again this morning, since it was like 40 degrees today.
And both girls had a good, easy drop-off today!
Went out to lunch today with some of my work friends, Heather & Shanka, to Takko Korean Taqueria. I tried something new today, and got sticky chicky loaded sesame fries. Wow it was a SO flavorful and delicious. (Not my fave thing there ever, but still very yummy.)
Looks like Addison had herself a good day at school today.
We did super simple sandwiches for dinner tonight, with lots of random sides of everyone’s choosing – potato soup for Jeff, bell peppers & ranch for me, a little soup for Emmie but mostly Pringles & carrots, and crackers for Addie. But that sandwich I made was actually super good, with turkey & Swiss.
Then we finally started taking the Christmas decorations down. Tonight, all I did was remove all the ornaments from the tree, and then we’ll finish up tomorrow. But before I took them all down, I took pictures of all the new ornaments we were given or bought ourselves this year. And it was way more than I realized! Let’s see if I remember where they all came from…. This one was a “hand-me-down” from Megan.
My bestie Britteny made me this angel from an oyster shell!
This snow globe one was from Generations.
Emerson made this one at church.
This Florida State one was a gift from my step-brother, Drew.
Emerson made this at school. I love that she’s wearing her nightgown, and that it matches, and that she really looks like she’s laid out on the sled.
Hmmmm….this is the first one I can’t remember where it came from….?
Addie made this at school.
And Megan and Bo brought us this back from Israel. And that’s the last one!
While I was taking all the ornaments off, Jeff was washing up some dishes, and the girls were playing and watching “Bluey.” We did just a little bit of snacks and cuddles and tv before starting on bedtime. When we started reading tonight’s story, Emmie said, “Mommy, I’m so glad you got me a Star Wars book.”
And wouldn’t you know, these two were both conked out in the recliner after I did Emmie’s bedtime routine.
We just did our 15 minutes of chores earlier, and we’re calling it quits for the rest of the night. Then tomorrow we’ll work on butts off on laundry, dishes, Christmas decor, and harvesting the oranges.
