Cute little girlies today, just like every day, ready for another day!
And silly little Addie, being a goofball eating her morning oatmeal breakfast bar.
I took Emerson to another orthodontist appointment this morning, and they are always so quick and easy there. Very impressed with their office and their staff. Emmie did great, and her teeth are doing great. She also got a different kind of bands today, called a chain, which she’ll have for another few months, before finally getting these little braces off… It was also Disney day there today, so they were all dressed in fun costumes.
Addie girl is still working on the letter “P” at school this week, picking out all the P’s on this page full of letters.
Right around 4:30pm this afternoon, it got really dark outside, and then it started flooding and thundering and lightning. And then it was hailing. In Florida, in June! We could hear it clinking against the office windows, and see it bouncing off the window ledges. It was absolutely crazy, but luckily the hail stopped right before 5pm, so although we did still get wet in the rain on the walk to the parking garage, we didn’t get pelted with hail. I stole this photo from someone off Facebook, but we did see the hail still in the grass outside the office when we left.
Starting tonight, and the following two Wednesdays, we don’t have our mid-week service, to give everyone a bit of a summer break. So we have a little break from our busy Wednesday night’s too. But that also means, that’s one more night to cook at home during the busy week. But we’re doing super easy meals, and this one ended up being much more popular with the fam than I even expected, with all of us eating seconds, with absolutely no leftovers remaining.
We watched a movie after dinner and the girls played and danced around during the final dance/music scene. They were a little crazy wound up after that, so it took some time to get them settled down and ready for sleep. But we did it (and gave Emmie some Tylenol because her teeth were a little sore), and they’re both sound asleep in their own beds now.
We were working on a small furniture rearranging project in the dining room earlier that we didn’t quite finish yet, but maybe later. But first, I’m forcing myself to wash dishes every single night, since I’m also cooking every single night, so that I can stay on top of things. So, here I go…
