Sloppy Joanna

After drop-off’s with only four of the five girls last week while Emerson was at VBS, it was nice to have them all back together again at daycare this morning!

Let’s all please take a minute to notice the sass on Ellie on the far right 😉

Both my girls had a good day at school, but it seems like Addie had the best day, just always smiley and happy and doing art and playing with friends.

We had sloppy joes, tater tots and salad for dinner, and Emerson even decided that she liked the salad (after she tried a bite of mine), and so Jeff and I each scooped a bit off of our plates, so she could have her own tiny serving of salad. I was so glad she finally decided she liked it, because I’ve tried to get her to like salad for sooo long!

We had taken Addie’s dress off for dinner in case she got super messy, and although she did eat a lot and ate really well (we actually decided she was “Sloppy Joanna” for no real reason), she was surprisingly still clean afterwards. But we let her just walk around and play in her diaper for a while before time to get ready for bed.

Look at Emmie’s sweet little hand on Addie’s little back. She is absolutely the best big sister ever.

I spent a few minutes cleaning up Addie’s room, changing her crib sheet to a freshly laundered one (after she leaked out of her diaper early this morning), and setting out clothes for both girls tomorrow, and then we had just a little bit of chill time before starting on the girls’ bedtime routine.

Emerson poured me a cup of (pretend) hot tea when we went to read her book, and then Addison wandered back and got in the middle of everything, so Emmie poured her a cuppa too.

I got to rock Baby Girl to sleep (with my smudged, 13-hour-old eye makeup) while Jeff took care of Big Sister, and this little one is just the sweetest. She loves to touch our ears or faces while she’s falling asleep in our arms.

Look at those little lips!

Heading off to wash some dishes now, and then we’ll finish that episode of “Stranger Things” we started last night, that you know I couldn’t make it to the end of…
