Shots & Ringlets

I love when she first gets released from her swaddle early in the morning, but then she falls back to sleep with her arms up in the air like this.

Excited little girl, ready for water day!!

I kept putting Addie’s feet & toes on Pretzel this morning, so she could feel his fur, I think she liked it 🙂

Attempted a nap in her crib today, but it didn’t last too long today.

But then we went to the pediatrician’s office for her two-month check-up. She weighed 10 lbs 1.5 oz, and was 22″ long. That means in the past month, she’s grown 2 inches and gained 2 pounds, and she’s in the 23rd percentile for weight!

While we were waiting our turn, she was sucking on her paci so hard that she kept sounding like a little baby tree frog.

Poor little thing had to get her first immunization shots today, and that was pitiful. Luckily Daddy was able to calm her down and soothe her quickly, but it was still not fun going through that.

But then when we got home, poor thing was exhausted, and she took herself a nice long nap with Mommy, and I didn’t mind one bit.

I laid her down long enough to eat some Chinese take-out for dinner, and she snoozed through the whole event.

Emmie had a great day at water day, and they had a little 4th of July party this afternoon.

And then Grammy and Papa picked her up from school, and took her out for a while, and to dinner at Culver’s for grilled cheese and ice cream!

After I finished up dinner at home, Jeff loaded up Pretzel and and his crate, and I went to meet my parents to exchange Pretzel for Emerson, since they are going to keep him for us while we’re out of town for a few days.

This girls’ curls today were absolutely killing me, after water day this morning and all the humidity in the air this evening. There were actual ringlets in there!

She stayed out late with Grammy and Papa, so it was bedtime basically right away once we got home, but she did great and things went smooth tonight. It was also helpful we got to remind her “go to sleep sweet tonight, and we get to go to the beach in the morning!”

Jeff and I have been working hard tonight to pack and deal with clothes and laundry and such, and taking turns holding Addison, since she’s still kind of fussy. We’ve gotten a lot done, but we’ll have to finish up some more things in the morning before we hit the road. (If you didn’t read yesterday’s post, since I haven’t said it yet, we’re going to Panama City Beach with some of the Pullen clan, for the long weekend.)

I’m going to take a couple days break from blogging, but then I will do a big weekend post once we get back. I hope everyone has a fun and safe Independence Day weekend!
