Red & Blue Friday

The sun was so big and bright and beautiful this morning!

Today’s dress-up day for Dr. Seuss week was a simple “red & blue” day, and we got that under control easily!

Funny thing is, this memory of Emerson wearing this shirt came up in my memories from 3 years ago, but she was already 19 months old at the time, and Addison will only be 10 months old tomorrow!

Around mid-morning today, Mama texted Megan and I asking if we were free for last-minute lunch today, and we both said yes! We went to one of our usual favorite spots (which is also one of my top three favorite Mexican places in town), Maria Maria for some delicious food and a great time together.

Emerson requested a ring pop for her after-school snack today, so I let her have that even before dinner, and she took it back to her room and played on her Kindle for a bit.

We had more leftovers again for dinner tonight, because the carnitas I made Tuesday & the alfredo I made Wednesday, both made tons of food, and there was still lots to go around.

Emerson and I had “mommy cuddle times” watching Encanto in my bed, while Daddy got Addison in her Christmas jammies and fed her a bottle, because that girl was exhausted and starving.

Emerson found my nightgown and put it on, and wore it around for a while. It says “alpaca my bags” and she thinks it’s so cute and funny.

After going through the bedtime routine with Emerson, Jeff and I switched places so he could give Emmie bedtime loves, and I could get some Addie cuddles.

I spent some time washing dishes earlier, but there are still some more dishes & bottles to finish up, so I’m going to take care of that before I sit down to relax on this Friday night.
