Back to school again this morning, sporting this super adorable pink Minnie Mouse outfit, posing on the chalk art the VPK class did last Friday.
I used the crock-pot chicken I made yesterday, and had chicken tacos for lunch at work today, and did some more reading…
Tater had a good day at school, including a nice long nap, and lots of pee-in-the-potty breaks! So yeah, she just doesn’t want to do it at home… Her teacher asked her why should wouldn’t pee in the potty for Mommy this weekend, and Emerson replied, “because of the sickness it won’t come out!” She definitely made that up all on her own. What a goofball!
Emerson’s best friend twins are back at school this week, and I’m sure she was 100% thrilled to see them today! She’s talked about them literally every day for the past four weeks, so I’m glad they are back at school with her! (This is one of them below.)
And you guys, please look at these amazing playground photos of Emmie with all her little boyfriends! 😉 Her teacher said she was posing so good and so she took a couple of photos, but when she started to put it away, Emerson wanted her to keep taking more photos! She is such a HAM!
Emerson requested a snack as soon as we got home of course, because this girl practically never stops snacking. So she ate a Pop-Tart and we colored a little bit. Then we also did video calls with the aunts and the uncles (Bo & Megan and Keith and Suzanne), before getting started on dinner.
The weather outside tonight was perfect, so of course we had to eat outside. We’re loving our back patio lately! I made pasta with ground turkey, onions, garlic & marinara sauce (our usual), and we had the rest of the loaf of secret bread from Ricardo’s, with more of my homemade garlic butter. This was a delicious meal and perfect weather!
And who would want to go back inside, when we could run around in the backyard instead? So we stayed outside for another 15 or 20 minutes before bedtime. It was so lovely, and I just love watching her run around giggling.
Oh, and she wore her panties at school all day, and peed in the toilet four times. She wore her panties home in the car, and then once again refused to pee in the toilet at home. She clearly had to go, and was constantly holding herself, but she still wouldn’t go. She waited until I put her bedtime diaper on to finally pee and poo… womp, womp, womp…
I purposefully made more sauce tonight than usual, because we always have a disproportionate amount of leftover noodles over sauce, but it all worked out perfect tonight, for three extra bowls for lunches this week!
For bedtime, we read one little garden book, had a short video call with Nana, and then another video call with Grammy, Papa & Grandmommie. So we got to see so many family members tonight, and it was so much fun! We dearly miss all our people though!
She was being super goofy about something during bedtime, so I said, “Emerson, you wear me out, girl!” And she looked up with this super cute grin and said, “You wear me out, too, Mommy!” I cracked up laughing so much!
She was really sweet and good at bedtime, and it was easy peasy tonight. I got allllll the dishes washed up, and the kitchen cleaned, while listening to my next audio book. I need a refill on my ice water, and then hubby and I gotta find something to watch on the television for a bit…
