My sweet, adorable little matchy-matchy girls today!
We got one goofy picture of Emmie with her little friends today.
But the real highlight was seeing Addie out on the playground like a big girl, clearly having so much fun!
Even though Addison had fallen asleep on the ride home, Emerson was still holding her hand most of the ride home. The sweetest little girls!
Tried a new recipe tonight, that my Mama sent my sister and I last week, for Sweet Hawaiian chicken (I also added diced onion & red bell pepper to the recipe). It was super easy, and only a few ingredients, and then I Just made instant rice and microwave-steamed broccoli, and that’s all that we needed! It was really good, and I would definitely make this again.
Jeff cleaned out some old leftovers from the fridge, and then took out trash & recycling, and cleaned up the table and Addie’s chair and tray. Emerson put on a little show for Addison and I tonight while Jeff did all that, with a small piano recital, followed by a quick ballet recital as well.
Emmie had a Mickey Mouse rice krispy treat from Disney, and she started eating some of it tonight. I was so sad I didn’t think to take a picture before she ate the ears off, so unlike me! But she said it was yummy, and ate a bit and then wrapped up the rest to save.
Addison was so exhausted and so ready for sleep, but even after her bottle, she still fought it for a little while.
After a mini meltdown from Emmie at bedtime, she finally calmed down and then fell asleep rather quickly after that whole rigmarole. I’ve got about 10 minutes left on my current episode of “Call the Midwife” to finish up, and then I’m going to go wash the dishes before bedtime.
