Pizza Pizza

Hooray for Friday, and Emerson was sporting a new cool Grizzlies shirt that all the third-graders got recently. And Addison was looking a little bit too old for some reason this morning, with that little smirk.

Today was our odd month lunch bunch with my work unit, and today’s choice was Piesano’s. And oooh it was so good! And they have really good lunch specials. I got the “lunch special #1” which was choice of soup or salad, with a giant slice of cheese pizza and half a meatball sub! But I ate too many rolls, and got too full, so I brought the whole piece of pizza to-go as leftovers.

After picking up the girls from school, we hit up a few Little Free Libraries out in the Killearn Estates neighborhood area.

And then we went up to Dave’s Pizza Garage to meet up with the whole rest of my family, and lo & behold, there was one more LFL there, that we didn’t even know about!

Mom booked the side room for us so we had it all to ourselves, plus basically unlimited pizza, because she did some sort of $10/person deal with pizza and drinks for everyone. It was nice having that whole area to ourselves, and the pizza was delicious, and we have a great time! (Accidentally went to two pizza places in one day, but you’ll find no complaints from me, since pizza is my favorite!)

We stopped to fill up my gas tank after dinner, and Emerson and I meandered through the neighborhood I grew up in, and showed her my childhood home, even though it was basically too dark to see much by that point. So we got home later, and we watched Bluey, and both girls were still crazy wound up and so we were all silly and giggly and playing, and then it was way past 10pm by the time we got them to sleep. But today was such a great day!
