Perfectly Plaid

Today was Christmas Plaid at Gilchrist for Emerson’s dress-up days. Luckily, Nana gave us these perfectly plaid outfits last night, so of course we had to do matching outfits today!

Another cute little Christmas treat left on my desk first thing this morning. And popcorn is my fave!

I had an interview for a promotion at work today, and I was having a great hair and makeup day, and just felt like documenting it with a somewhat rare solo-selfie 🙂

Lunch today was crab & corn chowder brought in for us by a coworker, and wow it was so stinking delicious, and just chock full of tons of crab meat.

Not only did we get cute pics of Addison at school today, but we also got cute pics of Emerson from school today! One of the teachers from daycare moved to Gilchrist, so she sent these pics when she saw her today, and I love it!

Nana met me at daycare after work to give us some Christmas cookies from Tasty Pastry. And since she’s literally right next door, she got there first, so she picked up Addie and just hung out with her until I got there.

There is no church for the next couple of weeks, to give everyone a Christmas break. We needed dog food and toilet paper from Walmart, so we had a quick dinner at Burger King (where a random old grandpa sat next to us and chatted with the girls the whole time), and then did our little shopping around Walmart. We also got a few other random things we kept forgetting lately, so we were proud of ourselves for remembering that stuff.

Addie Pie was getting super tired though, and actually let Jeff hold her like a little baby out in the parking lot for a few minutes, before he put her in the car seat.

At home, we got both the girls in their jammies, and Jeff held Addie with her bedtime milk, and Emmie helped me bake a quick pumpkin break mix, for my work Christmas party tomorrow. I also lit a pumpkin latte candle (that I got on Christmas clearance last year), and it smells amazing in our house right now!

Both girls were very tired and went to sleep very easily tonight (even though Emerson heard me talking about a tornado watch, and got a herself a little worried over it until I talked her out of it), and bedtime was super smooth.

I quickly put my cute little plant truck puzzle into the frame we grabbed at Walmart tonight, and I’m gonna take it into my office tomorrow.  Can’t wait to finally see it hung up!

We need to wash up all of the sippy cups so they’re clean for Addie for tomorrow, but that’s all we’ve got to do tonight, and then we can sit down and finish watching the Christmas movie we started last night.
