Happy little girls, on a typical Monday morning!
For this spring semester of gymnastics, Papa has been picking up Emerson every Monday & Friday from school. But they always have about an hour of free time, and she has convinced him to get her special snacks every time. And today, they actually got beignets!
While I made dinner tonight, Emerson sat up at the kitchen counter working on her homework, because she needed a little help from me. They’re starting to learn clocks and time, and she was struggling a little bit, but she did pretty well.
Cheese ravioli, Caesar salad, and garlic bread for dinner. And very glad to be back to eating dinner in our (mostly) tidied-up dining room, after it looked like a hurricane went through there for a couple of weeks during the girls’ room makeovers.
The girls both needed a bath tonight, as one was covered in the black dust from the rubber tire mulch on the daycare playground, and one was covered in gymnastics chalk from the gym. Then the three of us settled down to color together while we watched a few episodes of Bluey.
These little girls were just so adorable tonight, I couldn’t quite get over it. Plus, both of their hairs were just super perfectly curly and so pretty!
OK, now both girls are asleep and Jeff is doing some sort of computer work, so I’m going to listen to my “Onyx Storm” audio book and wash up some dishes, then I’ll finish coloring my picture I started earlier.
