Peanut Butter Cookies

Two of our three triplet cousins were at drop-off this morning (Kensley was having her annual Christmastime Daddy-Daughter day date), but these four girls had a great drop-off!

Look at how excited Riley was to see Addison! She was like, “I take her out? I hold Baby Addie.” And please make sure to see Addie’s little expression looking up at her!

I got these two photos of Emmie at school today, but none of Addie…

Oh, and look at this little collage my Mama made of me on the left as a baby, and Addie here on the right from last night. We’ve always known both of my girls look like me, but I think this photo comparison is some of the strongest visible proof!

Addie didn’t quite finish her bottle before I picked her up, and was crying in the car on the way home, so I reached back and gave it to her in the car. She held it herself, and finished it all off on our drive!

We did a crock pot pork loin for dinner tonight (I had Jeff put it in this afternoon), and then I just had to make the sides when we got home – rice, butter beans, and carrots. Simple, easy.

Emmie helped me after dinner, making some peanut butter cookies for me to take to my office Christmas party tomorrow.

After getting Emerson in her jammies, and Addison in her jammies, I fed Addison a bottle and Daddy read Emmie a book and started her bedtime routine.

Addie was out like a light as soon as she finished her bottle, and I was able to easily lay her down in her bed, hopefully for the whole night. She’s been doing really well sleeping mostly through the night lately, and just waking up early, around 4-5am, for her first bottle. There are still some days though that she wakes up around 1-3am, and those nights are harder…

Some of the Christmas things we’ve gotten lately… gifts from Addie’s teachers, soap from a coworker, Buccee’s Christmas shirts for the girls from Grammy & Papa, and some more Christmas cards, including one from my Grandmommie, and one from my parents. And because they’re silly, they even included photos of themselves in their card as well 🙂

And here’s where I’ve been taping up the cards this year – right by our back carport door, so we can see them all the time. Still loving getting all of these, so feel free to send or give us more! I always save them from year-to-year, and love to look back at them when we get the Christmas stuff down out of the closet each year.

Now to share a few more of our special Christmas ornaments… These cute little love birds were a gift our first married Christmas, the “Joy to the World” globe was one we chose for ourselves one year (we always go shopping to pick out new ones together every year), and the pretty angel is one from my childhood that my mom always had on her tree (there was a brown-haired one for Meg), and she gave to me when I was a grown up. (The porcelain angel’s wings are actually real feathers, and I just love that detail.)

I washed up all the dishes earlier while the cookies were baking, but now I have to wrap some gifts for all of our teachers tomorrow, and for the white elephant gift exchange at work tomorrow.
