Today was just a one-kid drop-off for me, with just Baby Sister Addison. But she was silly and happy and she did great!
And then later, Daddy did drop-off for Emerson, for her first time at VBS! She was so very excited about it, and told us later that she had a great day!
My friend Heather brought in some fresh produce from her family’s backyard this morning, including some serrano peppers (which she claimed not all were super hot but one tiny bite lit my mouth on fire), and one delicious peach.
But my leftover coconut chicken & veggie curry from last Friday night was sooo good for lunch again today.
Then I made spaghetti & salad for dinner tonight, and it was super yummy too, and all of us loved it, and both girls ate really well. (Also, peep my super sad peace lily in the background, that I think is officially dead forever and that makes me super stinking sad.)
Then for dessert we had some of the jello that Emerson and I made yesterday. I scooped one big bowl and the three of us all shared it. Addison kept walking away to play, then getting all excited while walking back over for another bite.
After a little bit of playtime, and a little bit of cleanup, we started doing all of our bedtime things. Jeff got Addison to sleep really easily after her bottle of milk, while I read Emerson a book and did prayers and lullabies.
I took just a few minutes to work on my puzzle, but truthfully I only fit together about five more pieces and didn’t make much progress.
But Jeff was anxious for me to come write this post, because he wanted us to watch “Stranger Things” together once I finish up, so that’s why I didn’t work on the puzzle very much. So now it’s time to go settle down and watch some tv with hubby.
