Nana met us at daycare this morning, because Emerson spent the day with her. So Nana and I and Emmie all did drop-off for Addie together, and she did great when we got to her classroom.
My office lunch today was a delicious repeat of last night, complete with the tajin and the bacon hot sauce. Plus the smartpop and banana for my afternoon snacks.
And Emmie and Nana had a great day together! Emmie actually started the day at breakfast with PopPop with chocolate chip pancakes, while Nana had an appointment. Then they ran errands, and cleaned her car, and went to the park, and Nana let her pick a few treats from the Dollar Tree, for all her help through the day.
And Addison had a good day at school herself.
Nana and Emmie got back to daycare a few minutes before I did, so they ran inside and picked up Addie, and they met me in the parking lot. One of the things Emmie chose at the Dollar Tree was this wacky headband with the long red hair, and wow, it’s somethin’…
The other day, Mama sent me home with some of their leftover stuffed peppers. So tonight while our dinner was baking, I made up some rice to go with them, and portioned it all out into containers, and now I’ve got lunch for most of the week! Thanks, Mama!
And for dinner tonight, I baked some of the Aldi manicotti, plus a Caesar salad and garlic bread, and it was all yummy and everyone ate very well.
These girls were just so sweetly loving on each other, and Emmie was like, “Mommy, do you want to take a picture?” And obviously I did, of course.
After dinner was bath time and then some relaxing tv time watching “Bluey,” and then it was time for bed. Emmie had some of her little babies all tucked in with her, and she was very sweet and sleepy and ready for bed.
Addison on the other hand, thought it was still playtime, and was running wild still after I got Emmie to bed, reading books and giggling and being so silly. It took us just about 15-20 minutes to get her calmed down and then Jeff was able to rock her to sleep.
I had washed up a load of dishes earlier while dinner was baking, but of course more accumulated after dinner, so there’s more to take care of now… and then I can sit down and relax a little before bed.
