I don’t know how this has happened, but somehow Emerson is now old enough for VPK! And today was the first day! She moved to a new classroom, and got new teachers, and some new friends in her class too. She was very excited this morning, and did great at drop-off.

Sweet little baby sister had herself a 2am bottle late last night, and then again at 6am. And then she immediately zonked back out on the couch, with her bib still on and everything. Emmie tucked her little pink sock monkey in with her too.

We were all out of eggs this morning, and Emmie didn’t want mini waffles – she insisted on biscuits instead. So Jeff ran to Bojangles to pick up biscuits for us, and she was very happy with that.

Today was the last day of the “school year” at daycare, and also spirit day, to wear purple and green from head to toe. So of course Emmie wore her Growing Room tshirt, and although Addie doesn’t have one, she still wore a cute purple romper.

Today was spirit day at school. I had forgotten though when I picked out her clothes last weekend, so she helped me pick out this outfit last night, and it is definitely mismatch. And she loved it! And she’s still adorable, even in very clashing patterns 😉

Today was “neon colors” day at school, and although we didn’t quite hit “neon” we did get both girls in bright blue. (Emmie also chose to wear her mask today, because the other three-year-old class got closed down for covid the other day, and “she didn’t wanna get the bad germs.”)

So long story short, it took forever to upload all my photos to my website tonight, and it’s getting late, and I’m tired of sitting at the computer, so I’m gonna wrap this up quickly…
Baby chickpea slept so good last night, from about 8am – 6:30am, when we finally unwrapped her and woke her up, just to ensure we’d have time to feed her before having to leave for school.

Addie-girl slept a little late today, but Emmie-girl was up before dawn. She just played in her room and entertained herself quietly, so when I went in there when I got up, it looked a little like a hurricane had just blown through, but she was so sweet and told me she made me this picture!

Addie woke up around 4am, ready for her first bottle of the day, and it was Jeff’s turn to get up with her. Then they both fell back asleep on the couch for a few hours. Emmie got up sometime around 6am, and she played on her Kindle for a while, and let me sleep to the super late hour of 7:30.

Emerson was excited for water day today (although sad it was the last of the summer), and Addison was excited to roll over for the first time!!!

The color of the week at school is pink, and today was pink day. So not only were both my girls wearing pink, but I wore pink as well, which really pleased Emerson 🙂

Today was pretty much just another regular Monday… We started off the day with a chaotic morning drop-off with the triplets. (Emmie and Addie were great, as was Ellie, but Kensley & Riley got pretty upset.)
But actually, our morning started off before that, but not as early as usual, because Addison slept like an actual baby last night! She ate at Grammy’s house around 5:30pm yesterday, went to sleep at our house around 8pm, and then slept through the entire night until my 6am alarm woke us all up! I was shocked!! So she slept for 10 hours, and went 13 hours between bottles, and I was just flabbergasted, and so thankful for such a great nights’ sleep, for all of us!

OK today was another great but exhausting day, and I feel like I might have a cold coming on. I’ve also already spent at least 20 minutes editing videos, so I’m tired and just going to photo dump and run again tonight.

Today has been an absolutely great day, fully of fun with Emmie and snuggles with Addie, and working around the house. But it’s also one of those days where I’m just crazy exhausted, so I’m mostly gonna photo dump, and not write too much, and then settle down to rest and relax soon.

The best mornings are when we all get there at the same time, because I love watching all these big girls just gush over the tiniest baby girl. It’s so sweet and precious! And today was water day, so everyone was even more excited!

Megan and I got to school at the same time this morning, and when I tell you Ellie was excited to see Baby Addison, that is an understatement! Riley was of course super excited too. (Kensley was already at church for her special day at camp with her Daddy.)
