Addie’s daycare was closed today, so Jeff took the day off work to take care of her. And Emmie chose to skip her last day of camp to hang out with them too. The had a slow morning, and then eventually ran some errands to Lowe’s and Walmart, and apparently had to test out some gigantic tractors.

Love getting a crock-pot meal started for dinner first thing in the morning. When I was meal-planning and ordering groceries over the weekend, I wanted to try something new, and this recipe for Hawaiian chicken just landed in my inbox last week, from this food blog I subscribe to, specifically for slow-cooker meals. I had cut up the green & red bell peppers, and an onion last night, so everything went quick and easy this morning.

We were supposed to have a hurricane day today, so we were all “hunkered down” at home ready and waiting, since all the schools & offices were closed. But when we woke up, the storm had shifted slightly east, sparing us in Tally the worst of it. We still had a day at home, and the girls were actually really good about keeping themselves entertained… Like this “theater” they made to watch a movie with their snacks in Addie’s bed.

Emerson was looking so pretty and a little too grown-up this morning. Addison was silly with a squishy pumpkin, looking a little bit like a country bumpkin herself with those weird shorts (I have no idea where Jeff dug those out from?) and that tank top. 🤣 But you know what, she was still super cute too.
