Nineties Nostalgia

Finally found the second flavor of Harry Potter coffee creamer at Walmart this past weekend, but they only had the sugar-free version of it. But it’s still yummy!

This morning I took Emerson back to the orthodontist for a 3-month check-up on her retainers. They were pleased with her progress so far, and her overbite has gone from a 9-whatever to a 5-whatever (I don’t know if it’s like millimeters or whatever…), so she’s definitely doing good with it so far. And we’ll go back in March for another check-up and new x-rays.

And little sister was finally feeling better today! When she first woke up, she tried to convince me she needed to stay home again, but then she was running wild around the house, being her usual silly, goofy self, so we sent her little booty to school!

Last week I bought lil smokies in our grocery order because they got me a ton of points in my Fetch app. I was trying to rack them up specifically to get an Amazon gift card, and I succeeded! So tonight I made pigs in a blanket for dinner, with some mac & cheese, like we were watching a football game in the 90’s. It felt very nostalgic like that.

I should have done this entire tray with the everything but the bagel seasoning, because it turned out SO good, and Jeff and I both preferred those over the plain ones.

Plus a couple mugs of hot tea for me and my mini-me.

The girls both had a bath after dinner, and then we watched a couple little new animated kids’ versions of “The Chosen” episodes we found on YouTube. My girls were both super sleepy and Emmie specifically was about 2 seconds from falling asleep on the couch. So the transition to bedtime with prayers and lullabies went really smooth, because neither of them tried to fight it and fell asleep very quickly.

Need to do a little bit of tidying up around the house, since we never really got to that over the weekend since we were so busy, so Jeff and I are going to try to work on that now. Then we’ll get to settle down with a blanket, and maybe another mug of super hot tea, because I’m freezing!
