Yesterday late afternoon, Emmie and I made a quick trip to Kids Pointe, and scored new golden sandals and new fleece jackets for both girlies. And so obviously both had to be worn today, even though it wasn’t really cold enough for this level of comfy cozy warmth.
But then I got them to take the jackets off just long enough for a photo so that we could see their matching crayon dresses in full, since they’re so adorable.
Addie’s class had a special little “farmer’s market” party today to include all fresh fruits and veggies.
Jeff took Emmie to gymnastics this afternoon, and then picked up Addie afterwards, so I just drove straight home from work. The sun was peeking out from behind a cloud over an FSU building, and the sun rays and golden light was all just so beautiful!
Jeff and I had this hot honey pepperoni pizza from Aldi for our dinner tonight, and I dressed up my pieces a little extra with some of the garlic & herb seasoning, more honey & some jarred parm. And it was really good! Emmie requested cereal and Addie had last night’s leftovers, and we just had a really chill night eating dinner in the living room and watching tv.
The girls created what they call a “tiny home” in the front entry hall, and love to play there at night. We let them stay up late playing here, and they were so cute. Also, Emmie found one of my old nightgowns from the 90’s saved in a box and wanted to wear it tonight, and she looked sooooo cute and sweet in it!
Addison was so cute and tiny on the giant couch sitting there eating her bowl of raw baby carrots (with no dip or anything!) while watching Bluey at bedtime.
Emmie specifically requested “mommy cuddle time” for bedtime tonight, which means we laid down in my bed together for her typical bedtime routine of prayers & lullabies, and then once she was halfway asleep, I carried her to her own bed, and she was out like a light. I came back up front a little after 9pm, and Addie was still wide awake on the couch with Jeff, still claiming she was hungry and not at all tired, so who knows how the rest of the night will go with that wild girl!
