Another set of adorable matching fall dresses for church this morning!
(This was actually the first time since mid-August that neither Jeff nor I were serving somewhere, and so no one had to be there early, and it was so nice, especially since I didn’t go to sleep until 2am last night, after all my Taylor Swift concert movie adrenaline finally wore off!)
Our church service this morning was incredible, and we also recognized all of our pastors, staff members, and spouses this morning for past appreciation month. And that was followed by a pizza lunch and meeting for everyone who’s on the worship and/or tech team.
We didn’t get home from church/lunch/meeting until right before 2pm. So as soon as we got home, everyone dispersed for nap time. I chose to nap on the couch in the living room with the screen door open and my current fall candle burning, and it was so lovely.
After nap, once the girls both woke up, and I finally got Jeff woken up too,we took Emerson to meet up with Grammy and Grandmommie, for her to have a sleepover with them tonight. Tomorrow is a teacher planning day, so school is closed, and Emmie will spend the day with Grandmommie. She went to dinner with them at Whataburger…
And we took Addie to dinner at Pepper’s. My giant plate of chicken fajita nachos was so super good, but was way too much food and I could not finish it all. (Three hours later, I’m still stuffed.)
We had to go run a quick errand before heading back home, so by the time we did get home, it was just about Addison’s bedtime. Jeff got her diaper changed, and found some clean, but mis-matched jammies for her. While they watched a couple episodes of Bluey, I started a quick deep-clean in our bathroom, which was way overdue. (Not done, but we will do more later tonight/tomorrow night.)
Jeff and Addie have both fallen asleep on the couch together while I’ve been writing this blog on the computer in the front room. So I’ll go grab Addison and lay her down in her bed. Then we’ll do a few things to get ready for a new week tomorrow. And then we also need to do a few things to get ready for our New Orleans trip, because we leave for that Tuesday morning!
